Redwood City AYSO

Fall Program

Fall Core Program - 2024

Welcome to the Fall Core Program with Redwood City AYSO! This program serves players ages 3 to 18. Our league is typically comprised of over1400 players, with 100 teams across all age groups.

Redwood City AYSO is an all-volunteer-run program that brings together families and community members to coach, referee, and more, in order to create a fun, family-friendly environment.

Players who are registered in our Fall Core Program are provided with uniform, player and team photo, and participation award. Players should provide their own shin guards (required) and soccer ball. Overview fall schedule:

  • Games for age divisions 5U-14U start on Saturday September 7 and continue until November 9. Age divisions 10U-14U typically have 2 practices per week and games on Saturdays (or Friday evenings). 8U typically has 1 practice per week and games on Saturday. 5U and 6U has one Saturday session that includes a practice and a scrimmage.
  • Games for 16U and 19U start August 19 and continue until October 31. These age divisions typically have 2 practices per week.

Any More Questions?

Q) Volunteer you say?

A)    YES! Please! We are a 100% volunteer organization and ALWAYS need more people. Whether it’s coaching, assisting, refereeing, team parent, or helping with field setup and tear down – we need you. As a parent of two eye-rolling teenagers, I can tell you that the times we spent on the field playing together and having fun (I mean coaching) are some of my favorites. We offer training, resources, and support – raise your hand and help make this all happen! Click here to add your name to our volunteer list – no obligation – just saying you’re interested. VOLUNTEER FORM

Kids Zone

In AYSO, we want all players, coaches, families and volunteers to have fun. That’s where Kids Zone comes in. Kids Zone is a program that encourages fans on the sidelines, and anyone else near the play, to use positive language, show sportsmanship in their attitude and behavior, and create a great experience for every player. It’s a reminder that the soccer fields are a kid’s zone – a friendly, happy, wholesome place for children to play.

Kids Zone Guidelines are:

  1. Kids are No. 1.
  2. Fun, not winning is everything.
  3. Fans only cheer, and only coaches coach.
  4. No yelling in anger.
  5. Respect the volunteer referees.
  6. No swearing or abusive behavior.
  7. No alcohol, tobacco or drugs.
  8. No weapons.
  9. No pets at AYSO events.
  10. Leave no trash behind.
  11. Set a proper example of sportsmanship.
When it comes down to it, Kids Zone is about supporting every child on the field - even those on the opposing team. It means supporting the players whether they win or lose. It means honoring the game – not the outcome of the game. Remember, respect starts with you!
