EPIC (formerly VIP) Home Page

Overview
The American Youth Soccer Organization (AYSO) EPIC (Everyone Plays in our Community) program — formerly known as VIP — provides a quality soccer experience for individuals whose differences or challenges may prevent them from successfully participating on mainstream teams.
Our Redwood City EPIC program welcomes every child regardless of where they live or the nature or complexity of their challenges — physical, sensory, emotional, intellectual, behavioral, or any combination.
If you think your child (age four or older) might enjoy being outdoors, kicking a ball, spending time with peers, and building a friendship with a high school "buddy",  we encourage you to join us!
Our focus is on participation and fun! EPIC truly means Everyone Plays In our Community. Our EPIC coaches are flexible, positive, and dedicated to ensuring that every athlete participates as fully as they are able.
If you thought your son or daughter couldn't play soccer —think again! With EPIC soccer, dreams become realities.
Through EPIC soccer, every player experiences the joy of being part of a team — wearing a uniform, making new friends, and discovering what they can do.
Our EPIC athletes build new skills, develop physical fitness, and experience the pure enjoyment of the game.
Each week every EPIC athlete is paired with a "buddy" — a high school aged (or older) volunteer — who assists on the field.
The athletes gain confidence and connection, the buddies learn how capable and determined their players are, and parents get the gift of watching their children accomplish things they may never have imagined possible.
Age Requirement
Players must be born on or before December 31, 2021 to participate.

AYSO is an ALL VOLUNTEER organization, and EPIC is powered by people who care!
We welcome volunteers as coaches, referees, and buddies.
For Fall 2025, volunteers are needed Saturdays from 9:30–1:00 am at Red Morton Park (Bechet Field - West) in Redwood City.
No soccer experience is required — training is provided.
If you are a high school-aged student (or older) and would like to volunteer as a buddy, please contact the EPIC Division Directors listed above.
Being part of EPIC is an incredibly rewarding experience — you'll help make soccer possible for every child.
