USSF/AYSO Cross-Certification - 2007

Important note: You may only cross-certify ONCE. It is strongly suggested that AYSO referees with a Regional badge who wish to become USSF certified, complete their Intermediate AYSO certification first and then cross-certify rather than taking a USSF grade 8 course.

USSF to AYSO

If you are a current USSF referee (Grade 8 or higher) who desires to become an AYSO certified referee you need to complete the following steps:

  1. Fill out the AYSO/USSF cross-certification agreement .
  2. Have the form signed by the (Northern California)
  3. Make a copy of the form and then send it in to:

    Education Department
    AYSO National Support Center
    P.O. Box 5045
    Hawthorne, CA 90251-5045

  4. Fill out a volunteer registration form with your region (for Redwood City, AYSO Region 1, contact the Child and Volunteer Protection Advocate).
  5. Contact the Regional Referee Administrator.

AYSO to USSF

If you are an AYSO referee (Intermediate or higher) who desires to become a USSF certified referee you need to complete the following steps:

  1. Fill out the AYSO/USSF cross-certification agreement .
  2. Have the form signed by the Area Referee Administrator ( for Area 2N) for Intermediate or Advanced referees, or by the Section Referee Administrator for National referees.
  3. Fill out the USSF registration form .  The district area is 2 and the State affiliation is CA-N (California North). Check out the CNRA registration page if you have questions or contact the .
  4. Don't forget to make a copy of your forms before sending them in!!
  5. Send in 2 copies of the USSF Form and 1 copy of the AYSO form to:

    CNRA
    PO Box 7416
    Fremont, CA 94537-7416

  6. Include a check made payable to CNRA for $25.
