COVID-19 Positive Test or Exposure Reporting Procedures

Any Coach, AYSO Volunteer, or AYSO Player who tests positive for COVID-19, or has been exposed to another person with COVID-19 MUST follow these procedures:

  • PlayersParents/caregivers must immediately notify the player’s coach. The coach will immediately inform the Regional Commissioner at [email protected] . The coach and other players/volunteers will receive instructions for the next steps. The player’s identity will not be revealed to other team members/families to protect confidentiality.
  • Coaches/AYSO Volunteers: Must immediately notify the Regional Commissioner at [email protected]. The coach and other players/volunteers will receive instructions for the next steps. The coach’s/volunteer’s identity will not be revealed to protect confidentiality.

COVID-19 positive or exposed individuals MUST NOT attend any AYSO practice session or event or until the COVID-19 Infection or Exposure Return to Play Protocol has been completed.

Note: In COVID-19 positive situations, the county health department is responsible for identifying and notifying other contacts, so some families might be contacted twice (once by us for immediate AYSO exposures, and once by the county).
